William Chang is the founder and president of Flexiworld Technologies. He is the inventor of many key technologies being widely used in the industry today. This includes over 40 patents issued and pending in diverse disciplines such as wireless and moble communications, Internet Commerce and Community methods, Voice over IP, Next Generation USB Flash Drives, Bluetooth Applications, Digital Imaging processing and Color Printing. Flexiworld was voted the best early stage technology Company in the Pacific Northwest, U.S.A. out of over 250 startup companies.
Prior to Flexiworld, Mr. Chang worked at Sharp Laboratories and was awarded Inventor of the year at Sharp. At Sharp, he managed OEM programs, developed corporate strategies and technologies for Sharp's line of copiers, printers and digital imaging products. Prior to Sharp, Mr. Chang was the Chief Architect and engineering manager of a successful startup which was later acquired - Amiable Technologies (NASDAQ:SVECF). Under his leadership, the company ranked among the 500 fastest growing companies. Mr. Chang's design and inventions in raster-to-vector conversion and digital printing created a revolution in the computer-aided signage industry during the '90s decade. Ten years after, the product remains the de facto standard in the CAS industry generating over $15M/year.
Prior to Amiable, Mr. Chang is a chief architect and project leader of three CAD/CAM products at Intergraph Corporation U.S.A, a fortune 1000 company in the U.S. in the area of 3D interactive graphics (NASDAQ:INGR). At Intergraph, Mr. Chang is a member of the core technology software algorithm team that developed one of the most complex and best selling CAD/CAM (computer aided design and manufacturing) software applications in the world.

Mr. Chang holds a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University, IN, and Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in the U.S. Mr. Chang also studied three years of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Campinas in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
William enjoys learning about culture, history, and art of different countries, and he speaks fluently English, Chinese, Portuguese, and a good Spanish. William likes to cook healthy international cuisine. In his spare time, William enjoys playing competitive table tennis, and likes nature. He frequently walks and travels around beautiful mountains, lakes, rivers, falls, and beaches in the Pacific Northwest. William has two brother, one sister and is the son of the renown engineering professor Dr. C.S. Chang. |
